01Who these terms cover

These terms govern use of the Property Loss Network platform by restoration contractors, providers of equipment, fleet or labor, and anyone else who signs in.

PLN is a marketplace and verification service. PLN is not a party to any contract formed between a contractor and a provider, does not supply equipment or labor, and does not perform restoration work.

02Accounts and eligibility

Accounts are for businesses, not consumers. You must be authorized to act for the company you register, and the company must be lawfully able to perform the work it offers.

You are responsible for activity under your account, including that of team members you invite.

03Requests, quotes and awards

A request is an invitation to quote, not an offer. A quote is a binding offer that stays open for the window it states or until withdrawn.

Awarding a quote through PLN forms a contract directly between the contractor and the provider on the terms stated in the request and the quote. PLN records the exchange but is not a guarantor of performance or payment.

Quotes are visible only to the contractor who posted the request. Providers do not see one another’s pricing.

04The badge ladder

Listed, Verified and Preferred describe what PLN has reviewed at a point in time. They are not warranties of workmanship, solvency or safety, and they do not transfer between companies.

Verified requires current general liability, commercial auto and workers’ compensation certificates on file, plus any state licenses PLN requires for the trade. Preferred additionally requires delivery history and an unbroken compliance record.

A rung is withdrawn automatically when a tracked document lapses, and may be withdrawn by PLN at any time for cause. Verification cannot be bought, and no payment to PLN affects it.

05Fees and billing

Joining PLN, broadcasting, quoting, awarding and keeping job records are free for both sides, and team seats are free. PLN takes no percentage of any awarded job.

PLN sells exactly two optional things: an unlimited Bench subscription for contractors, and Featured placement for providers, which is always labeled as paid placement and never affects verification or ranking within results.

Subscriptions renew until canceled. If a payment fails, service degrades but nothing is deleted: a past-due contractor keeps broadcasting and keeps their first ten Bench providers; a past-due provider keeps their badge and their listing while placement pauses. Fees already paid are not refundable except where these terms or the law say otherwise.

06Conduct and removal

Do not misrepresent your capacity, your documents or your identity; do not solicit off-platform to avoid verification; do not scrape the directory.

During a declared catastrophe event, pricing that exploits the emergency may lead to exclusion from that event under the price-gouging policy.

PLN may suspend or remove any account for breach of these terms, and will tell you why.

07Liability

PLN provides the platform as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLN is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, arising from work sourced through the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
