01What is paid on PLN

Providers can buy Featured placement: a single card shown above directory results for a category and region, and first-position alerts during a declared catastrophe event. That is the only thing money changes about visibility on PLN.

02How you can always tell

Every Featured card carries the label “Featured — paid placement · doesn’t affect verification”, on every surface where one can appear: the directory, public share pages, and exports.

At most one Featured card appears per search. It sits outside the ranked list, and eligible buyers rotate evenly — placement is not an auction.

03What is never paid

Verification is never sold. The Listed, Verified and Preferred badges are derived from reviewed documents and delivery history; no payment can create, keep or restore one. A provider whose badge lapses has their Featured placement paused the same day, and no refund of placement fees can bring a badge back.

The ranked results themselves are ordered exactly as published on the “How results are ranked” page. Payment plays no part in that order.
